The Spirits’ Book
is a classic within spiritual literature. It explores in a compelling manner the journey of the human consciousness, its present and its future. It presents compelling answers to age old questions such as: Is there more to life than the physical universe? Is there a purpose for human life? What is the nature of the soul? Is life-after-life a reality? Is Jesus truly the path of salvation? Is consciousness eternal?

Unlike most Allan Kardec’s books published in the U.S. this
is a translation from the French, not a retranslation from
Portuguese.
The first edition published by the AKES-Allan Kardec
Educational Society in 1996 had Dr. Robert Champ,
literature professor at University of Maryland, as chief editor,
and Dr. Jean-Pierre Lafouge and Dr. Didier Maleuve,
French linguists, as consultants. Now published by the
Spiritist Educational Society this 3rd edition was edited
by Dr. Kelly Besecke. Several members of the original
AKES team have continued their support of this initiative.
